Pike Students Excel in Academics & Athletics

Muna Newman Nwodika was honored at an event to celebrate the 2025 Academic All-Stars.

Each high school football season, the Indianapolis Colts, the Indiana High School Athletic Association, and the Indiana Football Coaches Association announce the Colts/IFCA Academic All-Star Team, presented by Forté Sports Medicine and Orthopedics, which honors state high school football players who excel in the classroom as well as on the field.

The program recognizes 24 seniors (11 offensive players, 11 defensive players, and two special teams players) with high GPAs, top class rankings, and excellent performance on the field.

Muna is also a National Football Foundation Scholar Athlete who recently received the 2026 Mills Memorial Academic MVP Scholarship at the Basketball State Finals from the Kiwanis Club of Indianapolis. He plans to attend Western Michigan University.

Pike Student Helps Community While Making History

This year, Pike High School senior Kayden Price became the first female Eagle Scout at Pike High School! For her final project, Kayden repaired all of the garden beds at Fishback Creek Public Academy to ensure they could produce vegetation.

According to the organization, Eagle Scout is the highest rank attainable in the Scouts BSA program of Scouting America. Since its inception in 1911, only four percent of Scouts have earned this rank after a lengthy review process.
