Involvement and Volunteer Opportunities

  • Volunteers are always welcome in Pike Township classrooms. Teachers need and appreciate classroom helpers who can assist with a variety of activities, including daily student work, special projects, field trips, celebrations, and clerical tasks. In order to volunteer in a classroom, volunteers must submit a background check form to the school's front office and complete the anti-bullying training below.

  • Most Pike Schools have active Parent Teacher Associations (PTA) or Parent Teacher Organizations (PTO). These groups organize school activities, raise funds, and work in conjunction with Pike Township to ensure that students receive the best possible educational opportunities. Please contact your student's school to learn more about their PTA or PTO.

  • School Board Meetings take place monthly throughout the school year at the Pike Township Administrative Services Center, located at 6901 Zionsville Road. Attending these meetings provides community members with the opportunity to stay abreast of all pertinent Pike information and an opportunity to share their own highly valued input and perspective.

  • All Pike Township Schools hold Parent Teacher Conferences to provide opportunities for parents to meet privately with their child’s teacher at least twice a year. The conferences update parents on student progress, address learning objectives, and provide suggestions for success and improvement. Additionally, conferences are always available by request on an as-needed basis.
