This Weekend - Sisterhood Basketball Camp

Last Call - Register Now!

Join our Pike Lady Red Devils Basketball this Saturday, August 29th, and Sunday, August 30th, at Pike High School.

Lead Trainer: WNBA Veteran & Pike Legend Nina Stone
Cost: $30
2nd-5th Grades: 10:30 a.m. to Noon
6th-8th Grades: 12:30 to 2:00 p.m.

Walk-ins are welcome, but pre-registration is encouraged to guarantee a spot.

Central Elementary School's theme this year is "Building Better Together ~ Every role. Every student. Every day."

They are focused on implementing a cycle of planning, teaching, and assessments, and holding monthly data meetings with students in grades 3-5 to discuss data and set individual, class, grade-level, and school goals.
Students are seated at desks, engaged in learning activities with books and notebooks.

Pike High School will be well represented at the Circle City Classic on Saturday, September 26th, with our choir, band, cheerleaders, dancers, and color guard participating in the Parade at 10:00 a.m. and taking the field for featured pre-game and halftime performances. 

Our Red Devils will face Warren in the Football Showcase at 2:00 p.m., followed by the HBCU Battle of the Bands.

Tickets may be purchased online (price will include the Ticketmaster fee) or purchased at the Lucas Oil Stadium Box Office for face value.

Pike Red Zone Pantry distribution dates for 2026-2027, held 4PM-6PM at Pike Freshman Center.
Our Pike Red Zone Food Pantry will host a distribution from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Monday, August 31st, at the Pike Freshman Center.

PHS Students Attend MIC Student Leadership Workshop

Pike High School is proud to be part of the Metropolitan Interscholastic Conference (MIC) as we celebrate 30 years of excellence in athletics, arts, and academics! 

The MIC is home to more than 28,000 students across 8 high schools in central Indiana. Leaders from all of these schools are coming together to find new initiatives that support students of all different strengths and interests.

On Monday, the MIC hosted a Student Leadership Workshop in Carmel. Each school sent a group of 10 students and a staff member to this hands-on workshop.

We are proud of our students who were selected for this unique opportunity, as they get to be ambassadors for our school this year!
 

GCMS Celebrates Pike Excellence in a Powerful Way

Guion Creek Middle School is using its bulletin boards to show students what is possible by highlighting Pike Excellence. The school's theme this year is "We Grow Academic Excellence."

"Inclusion is not bringing people into what already exists; it is making a new space, a better space for everyone."

Sasheer has built an accomplished career as a comedian, actress, and writer, including becoming a cast member on Saturday Night Live and appearing in projects such as Masters of the Universe. Her message reminds us that inclusion is not about asking people to fit into spaces that already exist—it is about creating spaces where everyone can truly belong.

Background:

GCMS librarian Valerie Dennis shared, "I wanted to use our community space to highlight that Pike has an extended history of excellence.

As I worked on this project, I realized that although each person has taken a different path, their stories create a larger conversation about the qualities that help people make an impact. Together, these individuals remind our students that success can look many different ways—and that their own stories are still being written.

I hope our students see more than just successful Pike graduates and community members on these boards. I hope they see examples of people who faced challenges, embraced who they are, cared for others, and found their own paths.

Together, these stories share a message with our students: Be curious. Be compassionate. Celebrate differences. Create belonging. Be yourself. Believe in yourself. Keep going."

We absolutely love this initiative and look forward to sharing each of their wonderful displays throughout the coming weeks.

Pike Aquatic Center

Swim Lessons

Pike Aquatic Center offers swim programs for all ages and skill levels.
 
Swim Lessons: Group and Private lessons are available for beginners as well as advanced swimmers. Ages 4+.
  • Group Lessons: Monday and Wednesday from 5:15 to 7:00 p.m.
  • Private Lessons: Tuesday and Thursday from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m.
Pike Township Swim Club 

We offer competitive swim programs and a fun and supportive atmosphere for all ages. A brief evaluation is required to join the swim club. The winter swim season starts in September, but you can join anytime.  Contact Head Coach Charles Grace at cgrace@pike.k12.in.us to schedule an evaluation.

Middle School Swimming & Diving

We are looking for the best 6th, 7th, and 8th grade student-athletes to take part in Middle School Swimming or Diving this season.

Preseason Camp:
Tuesday, October 20th - Thursday, October 22nd, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. (PHS Door 11B)

Season: Monday, October 26th - Wednesday, December 17th
Nightly practices from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m.

No competitive experience required to join. All athletes must swim 25 yards unassisted, without stopping, and must be comfortable in deep water. All athletes and parents must submit all forms & physicals on Final Forms before the season begins.

Indiana University K-12 Student Success Corps is hiring part-time tutors/mentors to work in Pike Township Middle Schools.

Candidates will provide academic support to middle school students in English Language Arts & Math and support students' social and emotional growth.

State Law - SB 78

Indiana Senate Bill 78 requires every public school and charter school in Indiana to adopt a wireless communication device policy that restricts student use of cell phones, tablets, smartwatches, gaming devices, and similar devices for the entire school day — not just during instructional time. This is often called a “bell-to-bell” policy.

WHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOUR CHILD:
Building on our district’s “Power Down for Success” initiative, student devices will be stored as follows during the school day:
  • Elementary School: Designated classroom location
  • Middle School: Locker
  • High School: Backpack
Devices should be powered off before the school day begins and may be used again after dismissal.
