Dr. Joel MunozDr. Joél Muñoz-Principal/Director

Dr. Muñoz spent six years teaching K-12 Spanish, Language Arts, and English as a New Language in the Lafayette area.  He began his administrative career in Indianapolis Public Schools before coming to MSD Pike Township.  In Pike he served as an assistant principal at Guion Creek Middle School and Lincoln Middle School before taking on the role of building principal.

2020-2021 Welcome

Dear Lincoln Parents,

Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year.  I am excited to welcome you and your student(s) to a new school year at Lincoln Middle School.  I feel extremely blessed to have the opportunity to serve as your student's principal.  You will find that Lincoln M.S. has a dynamic administrative and teaching team that is dedicated to the educational success of your student.  

During this school year I encourage your student to strive for excellent in academics and citizenship.  Additionally, I would further encourage your student to join a sport and/or an academic club to further enrich your student's experience at Lincoln M.S.  To our parents, there are many opportunities to get involved in our school community by joining or volunteering for the following: Parent Teacher Organization (PTO), chaperone field trips, chaperone dances, and volunteer at various school activities throughout the school year.

In my third year as building principal at Lincoln Middle School, I look forward to another excellent academic school year.  As always, feel free to reach out to me if I can be of support or assistance.

El Dr. Muñoz pasó seis años enseñando español K-12, artes del lenguaje e inglés como nuevo idioma en el área de Lafayette. Comenzó su carrera administrativa en las Escuelas Públicas de Indianápolis antes de venir a MSD Pike Township. En Pike, se desempeñó como subdirector en la Escuela Secundaria Guion Creek y en la Escuela Secundaria Lincoln antes de tomar la posición de director de la escuela.

Bienvenida 2020-2021

Queridos padres de Lincoln:

Bienvenidos al año escolar 2020-2021. Estoy emocionado de darles la bienvenida a usted y a sus estudiantes en un nuevo año escolar en la Escuela Secundaria Lincoln. Me siento extremadamente bendecido de tener la oportunidad de servir como director de su estudiante. Usted encontrará que Lincoln M.S. cuenta con un dinámico equipo administrativo y maestros dedicados al éxito educativo de su estudiante.

Durante este año escolar, animo a su estudiante a esforzarse por tener un excelente nivel académico y de ciudadanía. Además, le recomiendo a su estudiante que se una a un deporte y / o un club académico para enriquecer aún más la experiencia de su estudiante en Lincoln M.S. Para nuestros padres, hay muchas oportunidades de involucrarse en nuestra comunidad escolar al unirse o ser voluntario para lo siguiente: Organización de Padres y Maestros (PTO), excursiones de chaperones, bailes de acompañantes y voluntariado en diversas actividades escolares durante el año escolar.

En mi tercer año como director de la escuela Lincoln Middle School, espero otro excelente año académico. Como siempre, no dude en comunicarse conmigo si puedo ser de apoyo o asistencia.

This is Mrs. Essig’s 18th year as an educator in the MSD of Pike Township. Prior to coming to Lincoln Middle School, she taught 2nd and 3rd grade at Eagle Creek Elementary School and served as the Instructional Coach at Guion Creek Middle School.  Mrs. Essig actually did her student teaching in Pike Township, fell in love with it, and decided that there was no better place to be an educator, so here she is!

Mrs. Cynthia Perkins

Cynthia Perkins has worked in Education her entire adult life including her most recent eight years serving students and staff of Lincoln Middle School. Mrs. Perkins in a graduate of Newton High School in Newton Kansas, Bethel College in North Newton Kansas, Lamar University in Beaumont Texas, and attended University of Texas Austin for additional graduate work.

Mrs. Perkins serves as a volunteer for Ortho Indy Hospital, USA Track and Field, and Top Ladies of Distinction-a humanitarian service organization that serves youth, communities and seniors across the nation.  She is an active member and officer of Olivet Missionary Baptist Church, where she leads their ministry for Higher Education.

Mrs. Perkins is married and the mother of 5 adult children and 6 grandchildren.
