    Out of extreme caution for our staff and students, all MSD of Pike Township schools will start on August 11, 2020, with remote or virtual learning until Labor Day at which time a review of COVID-19 data will be used to determine whether schools can open for in-person instruction. Due to our delayed start, expect adjustments to our previously scheduled Fall and Thanksgiving Break schedules.
    If it becomes necessary to pause in-person learning at any time, we will move to remote learning.

    In order to complete the 2020-21 Return to School Form, please log in to your Skyward Family Access account. Please note, you will not be able to access the form by logging in via a student account. If you need assistance with login or form completion, please contact your child’s school. The default option for families who do not make a selection by July 24th will be the in-person option.

    To change your selection prior to July 24th:

    Select “Online Form” from the Home Menu on the left

    Click “View”

    Select “Mark as not completed and make changes” at the top of the form

    Click on “Custom Form” on the right side and make desired changes

    After finished, click “Submit 20-2021 Return to School Form” button

How will state mandated assessment administration be addressed while students are away from school buildings? 


Governor Holcomb’s Executive Order 20-05 states, “All state-mandated assessments are cancelled for the 2019-2020 academic year.”



Do minors need to have a work permit on file with their employer during the mandatory school closure?

The Department of Labor has suspended the requirement for employers to have on file a work permit for minors they employ effective Monday, March 16. This will be in effect until May 1, 2020. Therefore, the Department of Labor and the Bureau of Child Labor inspectors will not hold employers responsible to have a work permit on file for minors employed between the dates of March 16 and May 1.

Graduation Items Ordered

Herff Jones representatives will be available on April 21 at the main campus of Pike High School from 3pm to 6pm for items that were ordered and pre-paid. This will be a car drive-through only opportunity.


Caps and gowns will be distributed at graduation rehearsal or another identified time.  


We will continue to work with our state and local officials to determine the safest way to host graduation. Information will be shared once it is available.



Based on the Indiana Department of Education requirements, students completing high school credit courses, must actively participate and complete the assignments required for the course. Grades for credited courses will be reported and placed on student’s transcripts.

Students who do not meet the course requirements will NOT receive credit for the course.

AP Course Exams

Students enrolled in AP courses can email the AP teacher directly to answer questions.


AP testing will be conducted virtually between May 11-22.

Dual Credit/IB Courses

Dual Credit (DC): Students will complete courses virtually to earn credits needed for a dual credit course.


International Baccalaureate (IB):

IB examinations scheduled between 30 April and 22 May will no longer be held.

The students will be awarded either a diploma or a course certificate which reflects their standard of work. The achievement will be based around the students’ coursework and the established assessment expertise, rigor and quality control already built into the programmes.


Career Center/Certifications

CTE Certifications

When the restrictions for COVID-19 virus are over and the high school building is available, teachers will be available for three days to conduct an optional review in the classroom/labs. Testing will occur for two days and their teachers will notify students in advance.


Clinical Hours

 The EMT instructor will make ambulance ride a-longs available and will contact the students.  Barbering/ Cosmetology required clinical hours are waived.

Fees (book rental, lunch accounts)


Fees, such as book rental can be mailed to the Administrative Service Center 6901 Zionsville Rd., Indpls, IN 46268 - Attn: Darlene Eberhardt.


Payments can also be paid online at www.pike.k12.in.us. Click on the “School Payments” link found at the bottom left side of the home page.


Lunch balances can be paid through the My School Bucks app or online at www.pike.k12.in.us. Click on the “Lunch Payments” link found at the bottom left side of the home page.




Scheduling of course requests for the 2020-2021 school year has been completed. Should you have any questions about your child’s schedule, you can contact your child’s counselor.

Teacher & Administration Communication

You can contact your child’s teachers through Canvas messaging and/or email. Staff email addresses can be found by clicking on the course title and then teacher name in the Skyward grade book or via the staff directory on each school’s website.


Delivery of yearbooks will be determined at a later date. When they are available for pickup, families will be notified through Skyward messaging and social media.

College Admissions

Several colleges/universities have extended deadlines to make a decision, make housing deposits, and more. Seniors should communicate with their college admissions contact, check that school website, and their student portals often for updates.
