Dear Guion Creek Middle School Community,

It is with great pleasure and enthusiasm that I write this letter of introduction.  I am truly honored and humbled to be named the next Principal of this amazing school.  Guion Creek Middle School is a learning community that has nurtured my growth and development, as I have spent the last four years working alongside the dynamic leadership of the former principals, Mr. Nunley and Dr. Bishop.  I believe that my time here has prepared me to lead our phenomenal school to even greater heights.

Professionally, I have sixteen years of experience in education, most of which were completed in Pike township.  I have served as a classroom teacher, adjunct professor, and assistant principal and have learned a great deal from my experiences.  As a lifelong learner, I will continue to grow and develop, personally and professionally, while positively influencing the students, staff, and community of Guion Creek Middle School.

As Principal, I will ensure that students have equitable educational opportunities. Guion Creek Middle School will maintain a student-centered focus reflective of the values of communicating honestly, collaborating respectfully, empowering ethically, embracing compassionately, and succeeding academically. Our staff will remain intentional in their planning, instruction, assessment and analysis of student learning to ensure academic growth and mastery.

I believe that the relationship between families and the school are vital to student success. I am dedicated to providing opportunities for parents to learn and collaborate with us. I will give my all to help our students reach their fullest potential and request the same efforts from our staff and school community.  Together we will continue to move Guion Creek Middle School students to the next level of academic excellence.

I look forward to another amazing year at Guion Creek Middle School, as I firmly believe that every day is a great day to be a Jaguar!

Thank you,

Ms. Trachell Taylor
