Snacks Crossing Elementary receives $242,000 United Way Grant!
Snacks Crossing was one of three schools in the city of Indianapolis to receive the first ever United Way Success Grant. The funds will be used over a 3 year period to pay for professional development for teachers in the area of reading instruction. The funds will also be used to pay teachers stipends, to provide peer coaches in grades 3-5, and for reading support through Read 180. We are so excited about the additional funds to meet our students’ diverse needs in reading!

The Snacks Crossing rocket represents the emergence of a school which recognizes and respects its past, as it moves forward with future emphasis on developing the minds of our students so that they will have successful futures and be lifelong learners. The double fuel tank represents one carrying the history of the school and the other dedicated to the future. In the past, Snacks was a place where people fueled their body and Snacks is a school where we fuel the minds of children
