School Profile

School History:

Eagle Creek Elementary School opened in 1985.  The school was given its name because of its proximity to Eagle Creek Reservoir and Park.  Eagle Creek became Pike's third continuous calendar elementary school in August of 2001. 

School Colors:  Blue and Gold                                                       Mascot:  Golden Eagle

Honors & Achievements:

Eagle Creek is a C.L.A.S.S. (Connecting Learning Assures Successful Students) school.  Eagle Creek has received the Indiana School Improvement Award and grants from the Pike Education Foundation.  Eagle Creek is an Arts Partner School, which enables students to have hands-on experiences in the arts.  Eagle Creek has been a Four Star School and has met AYP requirements set forth by the No Child Left Behind Act.  Eagle Creek currently maintains an "exemplary" status for academic achievement from the Indiana Department of Education.

Patron Involvement:

Eagle Creek embraces the research which supports the role of parents in school as a positive link to student success.  All parents are welcome at any time to volunteer during the day.  Volunteers will find opportunities that include working with students and helping teachers prepare materials.  Parents who find it difficult to volunteer during the day will find opportunities through PTO's evening events.  Eagle Creek welcomes business partnerships.

PTO Involvement:

Eagle Creek Elementary is fortunate to have an active, enthusiastic and supportive Parent Teacher Organization.  PTO sponsors many activities and events.  PTO supports our Tri-Learning Club and its efforts to bring families into the school for educational and fun activities.  At Eagle Creek, the following activities take place:
