Superintendent Search and Key Stakeholder Survey

Dear Friends of the Metropolitan School District of Pike Township:

The MSD of Pike Township announces the opening of a search for a new Superintendent who will assume responsibilities on January 1, 2017.  The new leader will succeed Mr. Nathaniel Jones who has announced his retirement effective December 31, 2016.  The Board of Education has selected the University Superintendent Search Team with representatives from Ball State University, Indiana State University, Indiana University and Purdue University to assist in this process.

In an effort to engage all stakeholders, the Board of Education invites interested members of our community to access and complete the survey using the following link beginning today: MSD of Pike Township Key Stakeholder Survey

Results of this confidential survey will be tallied and analyzed by the search firm and then published on the district website by the end of May.  The data collected from these sources will contribute to a profile that will be developed and used by the Board of Education to identify and select the most highly qualified individual for this very important position.  The Board is targeting November 2016 to approve and announce our new superintendent.

As the search progresses, the Board of Education will continue to communicate the status of this ongoing process.  Please join us in congratulating Mr. Jones on his expert leadership and many years of dedicated service to Pike.  Also, please do not hesitate to contact us should you have any questions.

Kind regards,

The MSD of Pike Township Board of Education
