Principal's Message

Welcome to the Pike Township Early Childhood Program! Our program, which serves the children of Pike Township staff and community members, is housed in specially designed classrooms at Guion Creek Elementary School, College Park Elementary School, and Eagle Creek Elementary School. Program staff utilize developmentally appropriate curriculum and instructional practices based on the Indiana Department of Education Foundations to the Indiana Academic Standards for Young Children. Implementation of the curriculum is designed to promote the intellectual, social, emotional, artistic, and physical growth of children; in an engaging, challenging, culturally responsive and language-rich environment for children, ages 3-5. The program, which costs $150 per week, operates on the traditional calendar schedule at Guion Creek and College Park Elementary, and on the continuous calendar schedule at Eagle Creek Elementary. Program hours are 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on instructional and teacher record days. Each classroom is comprised of 20 children, with a 1:10 adult to student ratio.
