2nd Semester Choice 2nd semester choice pike township

Families now have the opportunity to choose whether your child will learn virtually or in-person for the second semester. If you select the virtual option for your child, they will participate in remote learning via Canvas and Zoom. If you select the in-person option your child will attend school in-person whenever district, county, and state metrics allow. Selections, which will be considered semester-long commitments, must be made by no later than November 6th.

  • All families are required to complete the learning option selection form for the second semester
  • In-person instruction will be considered the default option should the form not be completed
  • CTE courses are not offered virtually at PHS
  • The selection deadline for all students is November 6th

Please follow the instructions below to make the second-semester learning option selection for your student(s).

Get Text Messages pike text messages

Skylert is the district's automated notification system that provides emergency alerts, notifications, and other informational alerts via phone call, email, and/or text message.

It has recently come to our attention that many of our families have been receiving Skylert emails, but not texts.
This is because there is a specific "Text Message Numbers" field in Skyward Family Access that MUST be completed in order to receive text messages.

Bus Stop and Riding Info Pike Bus Riders

MSD of Pike Township provides bus transportation to and from school as well as field trips, athletic competitions, and other school-sponsored activities. Students will only be allowed to ride their assigned bus. The transportation department would like to remind families that riding the bus is a privilege, not a right. Students that do not follow bus safety procedures or rules could lose the privilege to ride the bus. Bus information is now available for the 2020-2021 school year.

Academic Calendar Approved calendar

Due to our traditional and balanced calendars becoming more aligned, our School Board has approved a universal calendar that will begin in the 2020-21 school year. This fall, we surveyed staff, parents, and the community, which generated feedback for drafting a single calendar. The use of a universal calendar will increase efficiencies and eliminate some operational and scheduling challenges. It will not impact the school assignments of our current students. Eagle Creek, Fishback, and New Augusta North and South will continue as “choice” schools but with a curriculum concentration. The School Board will consider feedback from the district survey and focus group discussions as they finalize the concentration in the new year. Thank you for your patience, input, and support throughout this process.
